The active ingredient in the drug is the spore-crystalline complex and exotoxin Bacillus thuringiensis var thuringiens. 1 ml of the drug contains 3 billion cells of bacteria and 0,5% - 0,7% of exotoxin. Due to the content of exotoxin, the spectrum of action of BTB is greater than that of other bacterial agents.

It is intended to protect agricultural and decorative crops of open and covered soil, from lepidopterous pests and spider mite.

How it works

Protein toxin causes poisoning of larvae and armyworm, damaging their intestines. Having got a sufficient dose of the drug, pests stop feeding or moving, change their color, wrinkle, blacken and die within 10-15 days. And with sublethal dose of the drug, there come disturbances in metamorphosis, while reproducibility and viability of subsequent generations are decreased.

How to apply

At least 300 liters of process bio solution is to be applied for one hectare. Treatment is to be carried out after 6 pm, in the evening and night hours, or in the overcast cloudy weather during the day, prophylactically (preventively) prior to any pest attacks or at the very beginning of pest regeneration. Repeat after every 7-10 days.

The optimum air temperature to applying this drug is + 18ºС - + 25ºС. It is allowed to use the mixture at higher air temperatures (over + 26ºС - + 28ºС) in contrast to chemical pesticides. The processing liquid substance should be used during the day. The retreatment process is carried out after 6-8 days if the oviposition and regeneration of pests take long, or when a heavy rainfall has ocurred.

 Bittoxibacillin is used to combat pest complexes:

• On potatoes, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers: against the larvae of the Colorado potato beetle. Treatment is carried out 2-3 times, every 5-8 days against each generation.
• On cabbage and other vegetable crops: against cabbage caterpillars and rape butterflies (Pieris rapae), leaf-eating owlet, cabbage moths, leaf crumpler moths - 1-3 treatments every 5-8 days against each generation.
• On apples, plums, apricots, pears, sour cherry, cherries, mulberry during vegetation: against the caterpillars of apple worms, fruit moths, leafworms, silkworms, American white butterflies - 2 cultivations every 5-8 days against each generation.
• On flowers, vegetable crops, ornamental crops of closed soil: against a spider mite, at least 8 l of the drug mixture per hectare is used. Repeat after 10 days.
• On alfalfa, sunflower, beets, canola, corn, carrots, cabbage: against caterpillars of a meadow butterfly - 1-2 cultivations every 5-8 days
• On grapes: against the leaf rollers (Tortricidae) every 8-10 days after the appearance of butterflies - 1-2 cultivations every 5-7 days against each generation
• On cereals, soybeans, peas: against caterpillars of owlet moths - 1-3 cultivations every 5-8 days against each generation of pests
